Healthy Cooking Demonstration at Avera Queen of Peace

Karen Klinkner, Director of Nutrition Services at Avera Queen of Peace Health Services, announces that the Nutrition Services Department will host a Healthy Cooking Demonstration on Thursday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Lauren Siegfried, dietetic intern, will present a Healthy Cooking Demonstration entitled "Have You Heard About Herbs?" in celebration of National Nutrition Month; the theme for National Nutrition Month is "Nutrition from the Ground Up." Lauren will demonstrate that using fresh herbs can be fun, tasty and easy!

Lauren is a dietetic intern with the USD Dietetic Internship Program; she is currently completing her internship at Avera Queen of Peace Nutrition Services. Lauren, a native of Chanhassen, MN, graduated from the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, MN, in May 2009.

Samples and recipes will be available. Pre-registration is not required so plan to attend!
