Outpatient Visits
Outpatient visits are held in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, located on the Second Floor of Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center.
The initial visit will consist of a hearing evaluation which usually lasts one hour. At your request, a hearing aid evaluation may be scheduled at a later date. A hearing aid evaluation allows the appropriate selection of hearing aids as well as impressions of the ears to be made.
Once your hearing aids arrive, we will schedule a hearing aid fitting and explanation appointment. A two-week follow-up visit will be provided to ensure customer satisfaction and any fine-tuning adjustments that might need to be made. Follow-up visits will be scheduled as needed.
We will work closely with your primary care physician to ensure optimal quality of care. With our help, you can receive treatment that can lead to better hearing. We look forward to helping you with your hearing care needs.
