The Community Cancer Resource Library
For patients and families, finding fast, accurate information about cancer is a priority in the beginning stages and throughout treatment. The Community Cancer Resource Library, located in the Avera Cancer Institute, offers easy-to-access resources as books, pamphlets and internet access. You can also request patient information and education from us online.
The library is open to patients, families and anyone in the community looking for materials about medications, new treatments and support services. The library also features the Pat Lovely Grief Holdings, a special collection of materials to help individuals cope with the loss of a loved one.
With a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, the Community Cancer Resource Library provides assistance so you can find the information you seek.
The Community Cancer Resource Library houses:
- Numerous educational pamphlets about cancer diagnoses and treatments
- More than 200 books and videotapes
- Supportive materials such as books, complimentary journals and other materials that are helpful during treatment and recovery
- An Internet cafe that provides free and easy access to credible websites
- Medical reference materials
