A sculpture stands in the main lobby to the right of the hospital's main entrance. The piece is an original artwork by Bob Aldren, formerly of Augustana College, entitled "Caring For Life."  Paint stains on red oak show the mission of the sisters in three themes which move through the piece: Holding, Helping and Healing. Avera McKennan's dedication to these themes through Caring For Life directs every aspect of our service, growth and plans for the future.

Inside the hospital near the Heritage Hall displays, a series of plaques, wall hangings and photo displays honor and thank those who have been instrumental in the success of Avera McKennan.
