Moscow Ballet Performs The Great Russian Nutcracker Ballet at the Washington Pavilion

In December 2009, the Moscow Ballet performed The Great Russian Nutcracker ballet at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls. The Moscow Ballet selected South Dakota NAMI as their as their local charity partner, with a percentage of ticket proceeds benefiting local NAMI efforts.

While in Sioux Falls, Ballerina Anna Tyutyunnyk visited patients at the Avera Behavioral Health Center and Avera Children’s Hospital. She displayed her skills and shared with the children the value of the art of dance. Thank you to Anna and the Moscow Ballet for their contribution to the Arts In Healing!

 

More About Anna Tyutyunnyk

Anna Tyutyunnyk photoBorn on the 10th of April in Odessa, Anna Tyutyunnyk began dancing at the age of four and has worked with multiple ballet companies in Moscow, such as Crown of Russian Ballet and New Imperial ballet.

Anna graduated from university and speaks four languages. She loves family, dancing, music, books, movies, animals, interesting people, traveling, surprises and a lot of other things. She also likes to eat fruits, vegetables, cheese and sea food.

In the Nutcracker, she has been cast as Clara, danced the Chinese and French Variations, portrayed the Dove of Peace, and has also played Party Guest and Snowflake.

Her repertoire involves other performances, too, like Swan Lake, La Bayadere, La Silphide, and Don Quixote.

Anna will dance the role of the Dove of Peace during the 2009 Great Russian Nutcracker tour.
